ROV Sonars |
||||
Work class ROVs cost a
small fortune to deploy. It makes sense to give the operators the ability
to hear with Marschall Acoustics Instruments sonars as well as see with underwater
optical cameras.
Passive (receive) sonars can detect pipeline leaks, pingers, failing valves, and a variety of subsea machinery under 'overstressed' conditions. In active (transmit and receive) mode, ROV sonars can be used for imaging and ranging.
Easy to interpret colour displays can permit you to acoustically see ahead, below, and to the sides of your valuable ROV. Sonar modules can be retrofitted relatively easily to your ROV either during normal maintenance or before an essential deployment. Beamformed hydrophone arrays also available for those customers requiring the greatest ranges and performance. Frequencies, coverage angles, and other parameters are tuned for your specific needs. |
